Colchester – The Oldest and Newest City
A 1 hour 45 minutes walking tour through Colchester’s historic city centre seeing places and hearing stories that cover 2000 years of history!

Join me for a guided walk through the history of Colchester, Britain's oldest and newest city. I will tell you stories that include tales of Celts, Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Normans, the Wool trade, the Civil War, the Georgians, the Victorians, the last century and right up to the present. We will see the places where they lived, were entertained, fought and worshiped over the last 2000 years. The tour includes special access to Colchester's Roman Theatre*.

My name is Andrew Mowbray and I am a fully qualified Colchester Tour Guide who loves sharing the history of our city with everyone who visits. Every location I go to has a story to tell and I love being the storyteller.
